Event
It's all about fun. We gather, we reach out to each other, communication: The fundamental
interaction that every person requires and is utterly inevitable. For the sake of leveraging
it, more interaction is necessary. We learn from each other as a friend, as a wholehearted mentor.
Organiser
Information Technology Society, aka ITS, is a society in UTAR which joined by many and mainly Software Engineering
students, had turned into Course-based from Interest-based last year. Our mission is to bring knowledge, joy and love
to every each of our member and helping others.
Date
This event has been scheduled at 14th of June this year, which is Sunday of the week.
It is week 3 into the May semester for fellow UTARians, so the time is perfectly loose
for students to take part in the event.
Time
Participants may come over around 4 or 5pm that day, but the event begins at
6pm sharp, and we are having a 20 minutes loose period after the event start
to wait for more guests to arrive. Committee are advised to come as early as
7am in the morning for preparation to kick-off. The ending time is estimated
to be around 10pm.
Participants
The targeted participants for this event is students who are currently
taking Software Engineering course in UTAR. So if you are studying as Y1, Y2 or Y3
at that semester, you can participate as well. We also have target alumnis which persue
their job at IT industries after graduating, back here to gather together.
Don't worry
if you are not a SE student, you are very welcomed to join us too! Our ideal participants
for this event is 150+ people, so please feel free to help us realise this dream too!
Location
The event will be hosted at a luxury cafe in the C180 area. The hall is know as
Black Tower.
The full address is shown somewhere in the page. We had provided a google map coords
for you to identify the location easier. Warning: It is very high class so viewer discretion
is adviced.
Theme
Retro style is a style that is imitative or consciously derivative of lifestyles, trends, or art forms from the
historical past, including in music, modes, fashions, or attitudes. It may also be known as "vintage inspired".
We are excited to tell that retro and vintage style will be our main theme for this event,
bringing us back to the 90's. The reason we came out this idea is the ever-changing pace of the world
where evolutions outsource the speed in time.
Attire
Participants are suggested to wear smart casual clothes as our event is not a formal event. Ideally shirts with
retro colors so that it is synchronous with our theme.

Coronavirus
Do take note that due to the recent global pandemic outbreak, our event might be rescheduled or at worst, cancelled.
However, participants can register as attendee without having to pay for a single penny. We will collect the money from you
as soon as the event has been confirmed.
For the time being, please take good care of yourself by practicing good personal hygiene pratices such as washing
hands, eat healthily and sleep early. Do not go out unless it is necessary, and do wear a surgical mask while running
